Recent research shows that people with higher IQ are less religious than other. Also what is often heard, is that with the progress of science, religion will diminish. The more we know, the less we need a god. Are all these statements true and what are their implications?
In this lecture we are looking for the relation between science and religion. What does scientific insights say about religion. But also: are there limits for both science and religion? Also some models about the science-religion relation will be presented and discussed.
Dr. Cors Visser is sociologist of religion and director of a center on faith, science and society.
